The EPW6 TCXO is designed for the high-performance enthusiast. While many micro-receivers compromise on stability to save weight, HappyModel has included a specialized oscillator that keeps the MCU clock perfectly synced. This makes the EPW6 the most reliable 2.4GHz PWM option for small gliders, park flyers, and high-speed sub-250g quads.
The board is dual-purpose: it comes pre-flashed for 6-channel PWM output for direct servo control, but it can be reconfigured via its web interface to output CRSF Serial, allowing it to act as a standard Nano receiver for flight controllers. With built-in Wi-Fi, you can update your firmware or set your binding phrase without ever plugging in a cable.
Key Performance Highlights:
-
TCXO Stability: The temperature-compensated crystal oscillator eliminates frequency “drift,” ensuring a rock-solid link from-10\text{°C} to +60\text{°C}.
-
Ultra-Lightweight Profile: At only 1.49g (with antenna), it is nearly 10x lighter than standard 6-channel receivers, making it perfect for DLG and micro-indoor models.
-
Dual Protocol Support: Can be toggled between 6x PWM outputs or CRSF Serial (TX/RX) for use with Betaflight or iNav.
-
Wi-Fi Firmware Updates: Easily update to ExpressLRS v3.x or higher using the built-in ESP8285 WebUI.
-
IPEX MHF1 Connector: Features a standard U.FL antenna connector, allowing you to easily swap the included dipole for a longer T-antenna or a high-gain sleeve dipole.
-
High Voltage Input: Supports 14$5V$ to 15$8.4V$, allowing you to power the receiver and your servos directly from a 2S LiPo.
